This is one of my favorite families.
We have worked together now 18 times over 5 yrs and produced an amazing collection of work. This is a perfect example of how beautifully a childhood can be captured and remembered for generations to come. I am looking forward to watching these beautiful girls become beautiful teens and beautiful adults.
5 yrs ago I met Marlie as a sweet little newborn. She had some feeding issues but Mum and Dad were adjusting to life as a family really well. That was the first of 18 shoots over 5 yrs that I have done for this wonderful family. This body of work is priceless. This archive of these girls is something that will be with them forever and I love knowing that they will share this beautiful collection with their children, their grandchildren, their great grandchildren. They might not remember who I was and how much fun we had making these images, but in know that they will be valued forever.
Dayna was the very first Birth that I photographed. Watching her birth was just amazing. The team at Flinders Medical Center where she was born was incredible. She had her cord around her neck and they birthed her through it then didn’t attempt to stimulate her until she was safely with the pediatrician who worked to make sure she was fine. I must admit I was holding my breath until she let out a big scream!!
I have also had Marlie in 2 of my award images. And I really look forward to enjoying watching these girls grow.
I love hearing from their mum and planning their next session. Being able to watch them grow from babies to children and off to school is such an honor and to watch their family grow from 3 to 4 has been fantastic. Cant wait till we do our next shoot.
